Madison is an AVID School!

AVID stands for Advancement Via Individual Determination and fosters a safe and open culture, high expectations for teachers and students, and collaboration in all classrooms.

AVID provides our scholars with leadership and collaboration opportunities throughout all aspects of their learning.

In the AVID program, teachers and students use WICOR strategies. 

WICOR stands for Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading. WICOR is a learning model that AVID uses to help students learn at higher levels and increase rigor in the classroom. We aim to ensure that students are college and career ready!
