We are pleased to introduce the JMSA's new principal, Nidia Martinez-Caro!
Dear James Madison Steam Academy Parents,
I am pleased to inform you that Ms.Nidia Martinez-Caro has been selected as the building principal for the 2024-2025 school year at JMSA.
Ms. Martinez-Caro began her career teaching 1st grade at Eaton School District for eight years, beginning in 2006. In 2014, she started as a bilingual teacher at Salida del Sol Academy and transitioned to the role of instructional coach and eventually assistant principal in 2016. She served as a principal for two and a half years at Salida del Sol Academy. Most recently, Ms. Martinez-Caro has served as an assistant principal at Maplewood Elementary School. She brings over 15 years of combined educational experience to D6.
Ms. Martinez-Caro obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Northern Colorado. She continued her learning by earning her Master of Arts in Reading from the University of Northern Colorado.
We look forward to welcoming Ms. Martinez-Caro to the JMSA family as she will officially begin in this role in July.
